What is TC 111?

TC 111 strategic business plan

TC is short for Technical Committee.

TC 111 is the IEC Technical Committee for Environmental Standardization for Electrical and Electronic Products and Systems

IEC is short for the International Electrotechnical Commission, the international standards organization for electrical, electronic and related technologies and for renewable energy.

Within the IEC, there are 179 different technical committees and subcommittees that prepare drafts of international standards, which are then submitted to the National Committees of member nations for consideration and approval. Within each technical committee or subcommittee, teams of experts are formed to develop international standards in areas of perceived need. Within the terminology of the IEC, working groups (WG) are ongoing committees, whereas project teams (PT) disband when the standard is approved and published.

The following table lists the "work program" of TC 111, including standards that have been published, standards under development, their current status and likely publication dates. The IEC number for the standard is shown in red.
